Is it a one-year curriculum, or does it cover multiple years?
Kingdom Homeschool is designed to grow with your children over multiple years!
Rather than offering a single-year curriculum that repeats annually, we're continually creating new lessons, introducing fresh topics, and building on previously learned concepts.
Each age group (5–10, 10–14, and 14–18) follows a consistent structure, but the content continues to expand and evolve. Your children can remain in the same age group for several years while continuing to explore new material and deepen their understanding.
Some foundational biblical principles and themes will naturally be revisited, because repetition and reinforcement are essential to learning. However, these concepts will be explored through new lessons, deeper studies, and age-appropriate challenges.
Please note: Kingdom Homeschool is a growing curriculum! New content is being developed and added regularly, rather than four years of lessons being available all at once.
Our goal isn't simply to help children complete another grade level. It's to provide an ongoing educational experience that helps them continually grow in wisdom, knowledge, understanding, character, and faith!
What school subjects are included in your curriculum?
First, I want to clarify that Kingdom Homeschool is not a traditional, accredited, grade-level curriculum. And that's intentional!
After homeschooling my seven children for 23 years, I've developed a very different approach to this curriculum. My goal isn't to replicate what traditional schools teach, but to provide the kind of information that is often missing—even in many Christian homeschool programs.
Our curriculum includes Bible study, language arts, writing, mathematics, creation science, HIS-story and world civilizations, biblical Hebrew, music and worship, physical training, nature study, and practical life skills and stewardship.
However, we approach these subjects differently than most traditional curricula. Everything is taught through a biblical worldview, with an emphasis on helping children develop wisdom, knowledge, understanding, character, personal responsibility, and a genuine relationship with God.
What about support for dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning challenges?
I personally have at least one child with dyslexia and many with ADHD.
Kingdom Homeschool is designed to be flexible, allowing children to learn at their own pace and parents to adapt lessons to their children's individual needs.
However, we do not currently offer specialized dyslexia instruction or intervention. Depending on your child's needs, you may want to supplement with a reading program specifically designed for dyslexic learners, use text-to-speech technology, and focus on audiobooks instead of physical/Kindle books.
Is there a scope and sequence?
Because we aren't following a traditional grade-level model, we don't have a conventional scope and sequence that outlines exactly which academic standards are covered in each grade.
In fact, one of the primary purposes of Kingdom Homeschool is to explore important material, subjects, and topics that are often overlooked, neglected, or completely ignored by traditional schools and curricula—even Christian ones!
Rather than simply reproducing the same academic content available elsewhere, we're intentionally creating lessons that introduce children to biblical truths, historical perspectives, critical thinking skills, practical wisdom, and deeper questions about God, His creation, and the world around us that they might otherwise never encounter in their education.
Our curriculum is organized by age groups, with new lessons and topics continually being developed and added. The goal is to expand what children learn, not simply repeat what they could already get from a conventional curriculum.
Do you build on previously taught concepts? Are there tests and reviews?
We regularly revisit important biblical principles and foundational concepts, helping students deepen their understanding and make connections between what they've learned previously and what they're learning now.
However, we don't follow a formal spiral curriculum, nor do we require students to pass tests before progressing to new lessons.
Instead, I work to make the lessons interesting, engaging, and relevant to students' lives, introducing them to ideas, information, and biblical truths they may have never encountered before.
I also strongly encourage parents to discuss what their children are learning with them! These conversations are wonderful opportunities to explore questions, deepen understanding, and grow together in faith. There isn't a built-in discussion forum, but I believe some of the most meaningful learning happens through conversations within the family.
Ultimately, the goal isn't to memorize information or pass tests. It's to learn things we didn't know before, grow in wisdom and understanding, develop a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and prepare ourselves for His return!
Kingdom Homeschool is designed to provide something different.
